The 2011 Summer Music Series at the Musical Instrument Museum is co-sponsored by Sanderson Ford. The MIM is hosting live performances by artists from across the United States and all over the world. The wide variety of events ensure that there is something for everyone.
The MIM Summer Music Series offers performances ranging from jazz, opera, Broadway show tunes, Japanese Arts, and West-African drumming. Some of the performers participating in this unique and up-close-and-personal experience include America’s Got Talent finalists Celtic Spring, the Kronos Quartet, Lee Konitz, and True Blood’s “Bad Things” writer Jace Everett.
Another exciting performance will come from a Mariachi band that interprets the music of The Beatles and Michael Kaeshammer, who entertains audiences with his boogie-woogie piano.
Kaeshammer has been called Canada’s hottest triple threat, with his combination of vocal ability, piano virtuosity, and charisma.
